How does plankton react to noise? Just dive in and find out! Noise Aquarium is an interactive and interdisciplinary wonderland that brings together the work of artists, scientists and technologists. The mere presence of the audience influences the plankton and shows We need to rethink our approach to life on our planet from the ground up. Victoria Vesna - the driving force behind Noise Aquarium - is a sound artist and professor of media arts at UCLA in California. Originally trained as a painter in Belgrade, her creative thinking has led her down exploratory paths between disciplines and technologies. Martina R. Fröschl is a digital designer specializing in computer animation and artistic science visualization. In addition to her visual effects and graphics projects, she curates the animation festival PIXELvienna. She is currently working on her doctorate in scientific visualization projects at the Science Visualization Lab of the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Alfred Vendl is a director and author with a background in chemistry. He is a professor at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, head of the Institute for Art and Technology and associate professor at the Vienna University of Technology. As a screenwriter, director and producer, he has produced over 200 documentaries for ORF, ARD, ARTE, BBC, Discovery and the Smithsonian, among others. Glenn Bristol is a programmer, photographer and digital artist. He lives and works in Vienna. As part of United Motion Labs, dedicated to the creation of immersive audio-visual installations, he is responsible for the programming of Noise Aquarium.
