Every day at noon...
Conceptual artist Olaf Nicolai (born 1962) explores the tension between nature and culture, between aesthetics and science. His works, which have been exhibited at Documenta, among other venues, play with social and political references. Nicolai works with a wide variety of materials. He creates artificial landscapes, enlarges consumer objects to gigantic proportions and works with alienated advertising graphics. Repetition is an important working principle. With «Every day at noon...», he presents a work that combines installation and performance elements and which he has been developing site-specifically since 1999.
Every day at 12 noon, a marksman shoots at paper flowers that are part of Olaf Nicolai's installation.
To accompany the installation, Public Session is releasing a double vinyl album which will be heard for the first time at KLANG MOOR SCHOPFE.
