Transposed Humidity
Sound artist Claudia Stöckli has been exploring the Anthropocene for over ten years. Her works are hybrids of installation, text, composition, and electronic and polyphonic sounds. Using artistic means, she creates microsystems in which invisible processes become audible. In July 2024, she was artist in residence at the Institute for Computer Music and Sound Technology at ZHdK, where she deepened her studies in acoustic ecology. Her installation «Transposed Humidity» addresses the global increase in humidity due to global warming. She is particularly interested in the effects of rising or falling humidity on a composition. Stöckli regularly works with guest musicians who bring her installations to life through performance.
