Founded in 2011 in Portland, Oregon, by artist Brenna Murphy (*1986) and digital sculptor Birch Cooper, MSHR is a collective that builds and explores sculptural electronic systems as interactive installations, virtual environments and live performances. The duo uses digital sculptures, analog hardware and ceremonial performances to create ecstatic sensory experiences. In their sensory overload works, Murphy and Cooper make the interfaces between digital technologies and physical space visible and audible. They will continue to develop their site-specific installation in daily live performances during the festival.
