Roman Signer (*1938 in Appenzell) has been active as an artist since the 1970s and is one of the most important Swiss artists of the 20th century. He has made a name for himself internationally with his poetic, often humorous artistic interventions in the landscape. His processual, dynamic works, which never cease to amaze and surprise the public, are time sculptures in which the materials used influence and change each other. We are delighted that the St. Gallen-based artist, who is celebrating his 85th birthday this year, is taking part in the festival for the second time and will once again be presenting a newly created sound installation in a barn.
